Black Hills led by three after three innings against Aberdeen on Friday, but Aberdeen scored 14 runs in the final two frames to hand the Wolves a 17-6 defeat.
The Wolves opened the scoring with two runs in the first, and they added four more in the bottom of the third on an error, a fielder’s choice, and RBI singles from Hannah O’Shurak and Ava Wright to take a 6-3 lead into the fourth.
The fourth is where things fell apart, as the Bobcats scored 10 runs to go up 13-6, and they tacked on four more in the fifth to put the game in run-rule territory.
O’Shurak finished with two RBIs, Wright finished with one, and Lilly Shipe also drove in a run, while Makenna Oderman tallied two hits and scored two runs.
