The Capital High School boys tennis team earned a couple of hard-fought wins against Mount Tahoma in second singles and first doubles, but the Cougars fell to the T-Birds 3-2 at home Thursday afternoon.
In second singles, Eli Horton lost the first set 1-6 before coming back to win the second and third sets 6-3 and 6-0. Capital’s first doubles team of Brooks Bezanson and Torin Biswas also lost their first set and came back to win the next two.
“Super proud of our two wins. Brooks and Torin played a quality team and showed the fierceness and determination to win,” Capital head coach Tom Alongi said. “They are definitely competitors.”
Capital will visit Puget Sound League foe North Thurston on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
