Capital’s Carter Armstrong, Anna Duerr shine in match against Silas

Capital junior golfer Carter Armstrong led the Cougars to a 207-223 victory over Silas at Olympia Country & Golf Club Tuesday afternoon as he carded a 31 to lead all scorers.

Senior Anna Duerr, a Gonzaga University signee, paced the Capital girls with a 34 to finish in second among all golfers as the Cougars fell to Silas 189-212. 



Junior Nolan Potts tied for second on the boys with a 42, while senior Owen Hackney and junior Summit Desmarteau each recorded a 44 to tie for fourth. Junior Rocco Dandrea registered a 46, and junior Tyler Seeman logged a 48.

For the girls, senior Brianna Morrison impressed out of the second group with a 41 to finish second on Capital and fifth in the match. Senior Elsa Schreck carded a 44, sophomore Kylie Read scored a 45, and junior Bronwyn Green logged a 48. Sophomore Mackenzie Hamilton rounded out the Cougars scorers with a 52.
