It was a three-horse race atop the EvCo last winter, with Black Hills coming out on top of Tumwater and W.F. West to win its first league title since 2020.
Having lost just two seniors, the Wolves have the most back, including reigning EvCo MVP James Morgan, and first-team All-EvCo talents in Talon Morrill and Quinton Morrill. Peyton Faught is also back after earning second-team honors last winter.
Tumwater is down five seniors from the 2024-25 squad, but there is still plenty of talent for the Thunderbirds to rely on.
Luke Overbay, Ethan Bello, and Braeden Konrad are just three of ten upperclassmen that make up the Tumwater roster that is led by experienced coach Josh Wilson.
W.F. West is also down several seniors from last year, including three players who earned all-league honors.
Gage Grisham, Fox Rogerson, Hayden Rooney, and Wyatt Hoffman all saw playing time with the varsity squad last year, and sophomore Cody Schwarz should fill a nice role in the post.
Luke McMillan was the junior varsity team’s leading scorer last winter, but is currently out with an ankle injury. W.F. West coach Chris White says he expects to be back in late December, though.
Under second-year coach Jordan Thomas, Centralia is looking to build and compete for a postseason berth.
The Tigers have plenty of turnover of their own, as six seniors from last season are gone, but a new core led by Kadin Yeung could have the Tigers competing for a district berth come late January.
