The Evergreen State College men's basketball team recorded its most points in a game since Nov. 20, 2015, as the Geoducks squashed Walla Walla 117-91 Friday afternoon.
Tony Frohlich-Fair surpassed the 30-point mark for the second time this season with a 32-point outing. With the victory, Evergreen secured its third win in four games.
The Geoducks scored the first six points of the game against Walla Walla and eventually jumped out to a 12-point lead halfway through the first half. Evergreen led by as many as 18 in the first half before entering the locker room up by 12.
The Geoducks put up 62 points in the second half for their highest-scoring half of the season, shooting over 60% from the field and knocking down six 3-pointers in the final 20 minutes.
Unfortunately for Evergreen, it scored 62 points total in its following game on Saturday at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho, in a 76-62 defeat. The Geoducks never led against the Warriors. Frohlich-Fair continued his torrid start to the season with 20 points against LC State, and Bradley Graham added 18.
Evergreen (3-9, 3-7 Cascade Collegiate Conference) will host Southern Oregon on Friday, Jan. 23 for the first of a four-game home stand.
