Southern Oregon jumped out to a 19-7 lead in the first quarter en route to a 95-29 victory over The Evergreen State College women’s basketball team in Cascade Collegiate Conference action on Friday in Olympia.
Evergreen was led by Amaya Afatasi’s nine points, while Jenna Glenzel added six points, five rebounds and two steals.
Southern Oregon built its lead to 35-9 with 4:16 left in the first half and had a 45-16 advantage at halftime.
The Geoducks shot 24.4% from the field, including 1 of 14 from 3-point range.
The Raiders shot 58.7% from the field, and Bridgette McIntyre led Southern Oregon with 22 points. The Raiders improved to 13-6 overall and 8-3 in conference play, while Evergreen fell to 0-14 overall and 0-11 in conference play.
Evergreen will host Oregon Tech on Saturday in Olympia at 3 p.m.
