The Northwest Christian baseball team earned four selections to the 2026 Sea-Tac All-League list.
Sophomore pitcher Marshall Guyer, who also plays third base and catcher, was selected to the first team along with senior first baseman Jack Vahey and freshman catcher/outfielder/infielder Luke Nickel. Junior shortstop and pitcher Myles McLain was named to the all-league second team.
Guyer was a dominant pitcher on the mound for the Wolverines, who advanced to the state tournament for the first time in 12 years. He led Northwest Christian with 45.1 innings pitched over 11 games and 10 starts, and he piled up 89 strikeouts compared to 41 walks. He posted a 2.934 earned run average while allowing an opposing batting average of just .149.
Guyer was also the Wolverines’ top hitter, batting .440 with a .589 on-base percentage. He led the team with 22 hits and 24 RBIs, recording two doubles, two triples and two home runs.
Vahey batted .273 and drove in 18 runs, and he led the team with 24 walks. He was a steady first baseman for the Wolverines, delivering a 98.6% fielding percentage.
Nickel had a stout freshman season at the plate. He batted .386 with three doubles and 14 RBIs, scoring 20 runs and striking out just four times in 64 plate appearances. Nickel was another solid fielder for Northwest Christian as he recorded a 96.8% fielding percentage.
McLain ranked third on the team with a .350 batting average and paced the Wolverines with a .609 on-base percentage. He also led the team with four doubles and drove in 14 runs. On the mound, McLain struck out 28 batters and walked 15 with a 6.058 ERA.
