Fertile Ground has announced the 2026 Grow Your Own Produce Workshop Series, a seasonal educational online program designed for gardeners of all skill levels who want to grow abundant food in their own landscapes.
Now in its 13th year, this 10-month online workshop series will run from February through November, offering monthly classes that follow the gardening year and focus on ecological, climate-adapted food production, according to a news release from Fertile Ground.
Taught by permaculture expert Marisha Auerbach, this series blends ecological principles with practical gardening skills, helping participants plan, plant, care for and harvest an edible landscape that thrives in local conditions.
Each session centers on seasonally relevant topics and includes handouts, garden checklists and ample time for discussion and questions.
Workshops will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. via Zoom the first Wednesday of each month, February to November 2026.
Tuition is $250 for the full 10-class series; $130 for a five-class consecutive package; or $30 per individual session, the release stated.
The series kicks off Wednesday, Feb. 4, and continues through Nov. 4, covering themes such as garden design and planning, soil building, succession planting, harvest management, seed saving, cover cropping, ecological support systems and winter preparation.
“This series is designed to guide gardeners through a seasonal rhythm of engaging with the land that builds confidence and resilience in their edible landscapes,” Marisha Auerbach said. “Whether you’re new to growing food or seeking more ecological techniques for your garden, this workshop series provides practical tools and a supportive community throughout the year.”
