In Focus: Capital Lakefair Grand Parade rolls through Olympia

Capital Lakefair's biggest event, the Lakefair Grand Parade, rolled through Olympia on Saturday, July 18. 

The parade route began along Capitol Way at 20th Avenue and continued down to 5th Avenue, ending near the bridge.

The parade winners this year are: 

• Grand Sweepstakes - Penticton Peach Festival
• President's Award - Pierce County Daffodil Festival
• Queen’s Award - Washington State Apple Blossom Festival
• Festival Award - Jefferson County Rhododendron Festival
• Children’s Choice Award - Mason County Forest Festival
• Community Service Award - Friends of J.A.S

Parade organizers thanked  judges and volunteers who helped make Capital Lakefair and the 2026 Grand Parade such a success. 

"From planning and organizing to judging entries and keeping everything running smoothly, every person involved generously volunteered their time to bring this amazing community tradition to life," Lakefair organziers said in a social media post. "We truly couldn't do it without your dedication, enthusiasm, and support. Thank you for helping make the magic happen!"
