The Lacey Police Department recently held an awards ceremony recognizing staff for their exceptional work in 2025.
“We are very fortunate to have the dedicated and hard working staff that we do!” the Lacey Police Department said in a social media post on April 2, thanking staff for their ongoing service to the community.
Awards were given to:
- Jon Cox: Volunteer Chief’s Award
- Bob and Laura Currie: Gerald Abernathy Lacey Resource Officer of the Year Award
- Officer Anthony: Exceptional Service for Patrol
- Sgt. Landwehrle: Exceptional Service for Investigations
- Detective Dumont: Employee of the Year
- Officer Gutierrez: Commissioned Staff Chief’s Award
- Becki Mullen: Civilian Staff Chief’s Award
- Officer Anthony: Inspirational Partner
- Officer Gerkman: Life Saving Award
- Retired Officer Aalbers: Life Saving Award
- Commendations for: Sgt. Landwehrle, Sgt. Knight, Officer Gerkman, Officer Stribling, Detective Moore, Detective Heang, Detective Dumont, Detective Favela, Officer Rosas and Digital Forensic Analyst Morganne Hutchinson
