July 27 is the last day to remotely register, update voter registration, before Aug. 4 primary

Monday, July 27 is the last day to remotely register to vote or update your voter registration before the Aug. 4 primary election. 

Through that date, voters can register to vote or update existing registrations online at VoteWA.gov, by mail, or at voter registration drives, etc. Any remote voter registrations or registration updates must be received by close of business that day in order to count towards the Aug. 4 primary election. 

After July 27, voter registrations can be still created or updated in-person at any county voting center up until 8 p.m. on election day.  

Voting centers in Thurston County include: 

  • Thurston County Auditor’s Office, Elections Division, 2915 29th Avenue Southwest in Tumwater. Open July 15 to Aug. 3, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on election day, Aug. 4.  
  • Voting Center at the Thurston County Atrium, 3000 Pacific Ave Southeast in Olympia. Open July 27 through Aug. 3, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on election day, Aug. 4.
