A motorcyclist was injured Saturday in a single-vehicle collision on Interstate 5 just north of Rochester, according to a press memo from the Washington State Patrol (WSP).

Jonathon J. Levesque, 41, of Marysville, was transported to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia following the incident. Troopers said he was wearing a federally compliant helmet.

According to the memo, Levesque was cited for second-degree negligent driving. WSP said the cause of the collision was under investigation. No drug or alcohol use was reported.

According to WSP, Levesque was riding a 2025 Ducati Multistrada northbound at milepost 90 shortly after 7:10 p.m. July 25 when he lost control while attempting to change lanes.

The motorcycle came to rest in the middle lane.
