The Olympia boys tennis team lost 3-2 at Sumner Tuesday afternoon in the season opener for the Bears.
Olympia returns just one varsity player from a season ago. The Bears’ No. 1 and No. 3 doubles teams emerged victorious against the Spartans.
“We had a great first match. We only have one returning varsity player, so there were a lot of first-match jitters,” Olympia head coach Chanel Nielsen said.
Olympia will host Curtis Wednesday afternoon.
