The North Thurston softball team teed off against Capital, hitting three home runs and eight doubles in a 24-0 shutout Tuesday.
Isabella Haagen, Paige Guyer and Saihdee Trolson went yard for the Rams, who scored 17 runs in the second inning. Syriahs Trolson picked up her 100th strikeout of the season, totaling five punchouts and one hit allowed in three innings.
Haagen continued her torrid stretch at the plate, finishing 4 of 5 with five RBIs, while Saihdee Trolson, Sara Halterman and Alyvia Belton each recorded three hits.
Capital’s lone hit came on a double from Lola McKeone, and Devyn Zipperer earned two walks.
Next up for North Thurston (13-7, 10-6 Puget Sound League) is a District 3 3A Tournament first round matchup against Enumclaw Friday at the Regional Athletic Complex. The winner gets a date with top-seeded Central Kitsap with a state bid on the line. North Thurston is hunting for its first state trip since 2015.
Capital (3-15, 3-13) is scheduled to finish its regular season at Black Hills Wednesday.
