No, that is not a typo.

The North Thurston softball team picked up its first win of the season in eye-popping fashion, defeating Lakes by a score of 37-3 in just five innings at home Monday afternoon.

The Rams only needed 13 hits to score 37 runs as they walked 22 times and Lakes committed eight errors.

No Ram in the lineup scored fewer than three times, and each of the top four batters recorded at least four runs batted in. The Trolson sisters were dominant for North Thurston. Saihdee Trolson went 4 of 5 with six RBIs and four runs scored, while Syriahs Trolson went 2 of 5 with two RBIs and three runs. In the circle, Syriahs pitched all five innings and struck out nine batters while allowing three runs on six hits and two walks.

North Thurston scored nine runs in the first inning, four in the second, 10 in the third and 14 in the fourth. It marks the third time in the past two seasons that the Rams surpassed the 30-run threshold, including a 31-0 triumph over Lakes last April.

"Our defense was top notch tonight. Syriahs was on fire in the circle. The younger players finally settled down and built some confidence," North Thurston head coach Sam Harding said. "They are starting to really come together and play as one."

North Thurston (1-2, 1-1 Puget Sound League) will visit Peninsula Wednesday before hosting Rainier at home Thursday in a game that has been postponed multiple times.
