The North Thurston softball team put on an offensive masterclass against Lincoln Monday, recording 27 runs on 27 hits in a 27-3 home win in five innings.

The Rams have scored at least 27 runs three times this season.

Every Ram who saw a plate appearance had at least one hit, one run batted in and one run scored. Six North Thurston batters logged at least three hits, while Alyvia Belton and Abigail McBride each went 4 for 5.

Sara Halterman led the Rams with four RBIs and was one of three Rams to score four times on a 3-for-3 day. North Thurston tallied seven runs in the first inning, seven more in the second, nine in the third and four in the fourth.

“It was a great offensive day. They were patient at the plate and attacked their pitches,” North Thurston head coach Sam Harding said.

Paige Guyer tossed her second complete game of the season, striking out a season-high 13 batters to more than double her season total, which was nine entering Monday’s contest. She allowed three runs on three hits and nine walks.

“Paige Guyer needed an inning or so to start getting comfortable in the circle, but she started getting stronger as the game went on,” Harding said. “She brings a strong energy to the circle.”

North Thurston (6-5, 4-4 Puget Sound League) has now won four games in a row for the first time this decade. The Rams have four games on the schedule this week, with a road contest at Lakes (0-9, 0-9 PSL) coming up on Wednesday and a non-league matchup at Olympia (5-8, 5-5 South Puget Sound League) set for Thursday. North Thurston will close out the week at home against Bellarmine (6-6, 5-4 PSL) Friday.
