The Northwest Christian volleyball team ran into one of the top teams in 1B Friday night, as the Wolverines were swept by Providence Classical Christian, which has yet to lose a game or a set this season.
Northwest Christian kept all three sets close; Providence Classical Christian won 25-20, 26-24 and 25-19.
Addy Hentges recorded a double-double with 10 kills and 10 digs, along with four aces and two assists. Ashlynn Hutchings posted six kills, 12 digs, four aces and a block, while Jess Collins logged 21 assists, eight digs, three kills, two aces and a block.
“Providence was tough, but we love playing them because it really challenges us,” Northwest Christian co-head coach Sarah Barnard said. “Some of the longest rallies we’ve had, and it was a great night for digs on both sides of the court.”
Northwest Christian (6-3, 2-0 Sea-Tac League) will visit Pe Ell Monday night.
