The Olympia softball team hung around Sumner for three innings before the Spartans put the hammer down in the fourth, racking up 10 two-out runs on the Bears, who lost 15-3 in five innings Friday.

Sumner scored three runs in the first inning and tallied one run in both the second and third frames. Olympia left multiple runners stranded in both the first and fourth innings, although Sydney Potvin put the Bears on the scoreboard with a solo homer to leadoff the fourth.

Olympia committed five of its eight errors in the fourth inning, and Sumner notched nine hits in the frame, including a three-run home run by Riley Meyers.

Potvin and Sam Graham helped the Bears score two runs in the fifth, but they were unable to extend the game, falling in five innings.

Olympia finishes the regular season with a 7-13 record in the regular season and 7-9 in the South Puget Sound League to place seventh.
