The Olympia girls soccer team was firing on all cylinders at Tumwater Tuesday night, rolling to an 8-0 shutout victory that ignited the mercy rule by the 60th minute.
Olympia scored three goals in the first half and a whopping five in the second half. The Bears have scored 16 goals through their first four games.
Junior Mika Meconi secured a hat trick, and a total of six Bears found the back of the net. Parker Udo, Celeste Wilhelm, Vivienne Roach, Malia Satre and Mackenzie Bendiksen also scored against Tumwater. Bendiksen and Satre each picked up an assist, while Gracie McCaughan recorded two assists.
Next up for Olympia (3-0-1) is the South Puget Sound League slate, starting at Graham-Kapowsin Tuesday, Sept. 22. Tumwater (1-4-1) will begin its EvCo season at home against Aberdeen Thursday, Sept. 24.
