Olympia freshman Quenton Lanese and senior Caden Durocher both set new personal records while competing at the 2026 Arcadia Invitational at Arcadia High School in California this weekend.

Lanese finished first in the first heat of the boys 3,200-meter open, crossing the finish line in 8 minutes, 58.76 seconds for a new personal best. He clocked the second-fastest time of all 85 racers across the three 3,200-meter open runs.

Durocher took third place in the 800-meter open, running a 1:52.65 to beat his previous PR by about two seconds.

The success for the Bears comes on the heels of a triumphant weekend at the Oregon Relays in Eugene, Oregon. Durocher helped both the sprint medley relay team and the distance medley relay team finish first, while Lanese was the finishing runner on the distance medley relay team. Lanese also competed in the 1-mile finals, earning 15th.

Olympia’s next meet is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15 against Bonney Lake at Ingersoll Stadium.
