Behind an efficient night from star Emalie Jacoby and balanced scoring down the roster, the Loggers upended the Mountaineers 55-46 in a Class 2B District 4 elimination game at Castle Rock High School.

It’s the third time this season Onalaska (15-7) got the better end of its C2BL rivals. Jacoby led the way with a 23-point outing on 10-of-18 from the field and grabbed 11 rebounds for a double-double. Four others finished with at least five points.

Up one after the first quarter, the Loggers took control with a nine-point halftime lead and held off Rainier (9-13) until the final buzzer. Kaiyah Sandridge hauled in nine boards and recorded four steals. They will take on Adna on Thursday in a winner to state game in Rochester.

“I'm very proud of my girls tonight. They buckled down and played with heart all four quarters,” Onalaska head coach Alana Olson said. “So many different girls stepped up and made big plays at different times throughout the game.”

The Mountaineers were led by Anika Plowman’s 15 points and Zaylee Bravo added seven points as those two plus Katelyn Eckroth played their final game of their basketball careers.
