Rainier’s Lily Peralta finished as the runner-up in the 1B/2B Girls State Golf Championships in Liberty Lake on Wednesday, finishing the two-day tournament with a score of 147, good for 7-over par.

Peralta was in the lead after Day 1 and finished her front nine on Day 2 with back-to-back birdies, but three double bogeys in the back nine allowed Forest Ridge’s Ava Jensen to take the lead. Jensen ended up winning by just one stroke.

It’s Peralta’s second straight second-place finish in a row, as she finished tied for second at the state tournament in 2025.

On the boys side, Adna’s Trevin Salme finished 8th with a two-day total of 161 (+21), and Rainier’s Joshua Peralta finished in a tie for 15th at 171 (+31).
