The River Ridge baseball team collected its most runs in a game under fourth-year head coach Ben Rood Tuesday as the Hawks blew out Mount Tahoma 21-2 in five innings.

The Hawks got to work early and often offensively with five runs in the first inning, four in both the second and the third, six in the fourth and two in the fifth. Bono Larkin shined with a 3-for-4 day and three RBIs, a double, a triple and four runs scored. Aaron Leu and Kellen Lentz each logged three RBIs, while Cole Von Rueden pitched five innings and struck out four batters.

“Nice to get back in the win column. Just taking it one day at a time right now,” Rood said. “Today was fun to see some younger guys get to play.”

River Ridge (9-8, 6-8 Puget Sound League) will visit Central Kitsap (10-7, 8-6 PSL) Wednesday in its penultimate PSL contest.
