Toledo jumped in front early and never looked back in Rochester on Monday, as the Riverhawks rolled to a 24-1 victory over the Warriors.
Toledo scored 12 runs in the opening frame before adding 10 more over the next two to go up 22-1 before tacking on another pair of runs in the top of the fourth.
Kailea Lairson hit a home run and drove in four runs as part of a 2 for 3 days, and Camryn Hurley added two hits and four RBIs of her own.
Taysia Miller tallied three hits, including two doubles, drove in a run, and scored four more, and Ellie Seely drove in three runs while going 2 for 2 at the plate. Alyssa Hensley also went 2 for 2, and she drove in two runs and scored another.
Brenna Carver allowed just one hit and one unearned run in five innings in the circle, walking one and striking out seven.
Kyanna Estrada picked up Rochester’s lone hit, while Ayla LeBaron scored the Warriors’ lone run on a wild pitch in the top of the second.
Toledo (2-0) will host Woodland on Tuesday, while Rochester (1-3) will head to Woodland to face the same Beavers on Wednesday.
