Rochester trekked north for a non-league clash against King’s on Tuesday, and the Warriors lost that matchup in Shoreline 7-1.

King’s got on the board first with a run in the second, and it added three more in the third to go up 4-0.

Rochester got on the board in the fourth thanks to an RBI single from Tyler Huston, but a second runner trying to score was tagged out at the plate to end the inning at 4-1.

The Knights got that run right back in the bottom half of the inning, and they added two insurance runs in the fifth.

Huston finished with Rochester’s lone RBI, while Rugar Culp, Simon Barth, Tayden Martin, and Wyatt Dahl added hits.

Rochester (11-4, 9-1 1A Evergreen) will have the rest of the week off before playing a crucial three-game set against Montesano next week.

The first two games of that series will be in Montesano on Tuesday, while the finale will be in Rochester on Friday. Whoever wins that series will finish as the Evergreen League Champions.
