The Warriors finished as the runner-up in the Evergreen League while the Beavers nearly stole a district playoff spot on the final day of the league slate. The two rivals were represented on the all-league first team, as voted by the coaches.
Rochester’s Tayden Martin (pitcher), Tyler Huston (infielder) and Ethan Rodriguez (outfielder) were its representatives while Tenino freshman Easton Miller was a first team infielder. Montesano swept the individual awards, having Co-MVPs, Pitchers of the Year and Coaching Staff of the Year.
Martin earned the win in the Warriors postseason opener and shut the door in their state-clinching game. Huston was a catalyst as their starting shortstop and Rodriguez was in the heart of their lineup.
