The Saint Martin’s baseball team went 1-3 in its home series against Central Washington this weekend.

After losing the first two games 5-4 and 4-2 on Friday, the Saints bounced back in the first game of the double-header on Saturday with a 15-4 victory that saw the Saints secure their first GNAC win of the season. With the Saints’ victory in game three, head coach Jacob Garsez tallied his 300th career victory. The 15-run performance was the most runs scored in a game by Saint Martin’s since April 12, 2024.

Saint Martin’s fell in the final game 5-1 Saturday afternoon.

In the Saints’ win, which stopped a 12-game losing streak, junior pitcher Blaze Wong pitched a complete game, allowing four runs off seven hits and striking out four batters across nine innings. Noah Albanese went 3 for 5 with three runs scored and two RBIs, and Kyle Schabot drove in four runs.

Saint Martin’s will head up north Tuesday afternoon for an exhibition against Seattle University before taking on Western Oregon in Monmouth for a four-game series Saturday and Sunday.
