The Tenino High School boys basketball team were outscored in three quarters, but the one they weren’t was the second, and that proved to be the difference in triumphing over The Bush School 60-56 on Tuesday night in Seattle.
It snapped a six-game losing streak for the Beavers (3-14). They lost the first, third and fourth frames by a combined four points, but claimed the second quarter by a 16-8 margin. Brayden Bennett led the way with a team-high 18 points and Henry Czuleger added 11 and eight rebounds.
Three other Beavers chipped in at least five points. They return home on Friday to face Montesano and formally induct three new members into their Hall of Fame.
