Semi rollover blocks northbound I-5 in Thurston County

Northbound Interstate 5 was blocked for over three hours in Thurston County early Friday morning after a semi car hauler left the roadway and rolled onto its side. 

The semi, driven by Arslan Durdykov, 26, of Lynwood, was traveling in the far left lane near milepost 98 when it left the roadway to the right, striking an abandoned vehicle on the right shoulder. It came to rest about 50 feet off the roadway after it rolled onto its side, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP). 

The crash was reported at approximately 2:30 a.m., according to WSP. The roadway was blocked for three hours and 37 minutes. 



The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Drugs or alcohol were not involved, according to WSP.
