Seven Saint Martin’s University softball players earned recognition on the 2026 GNAC softball all-conference teams Wednesday. Head coach Jim Peterson won the 2026 GNAC Coach of the Year award.
Heather Ebner led the way with a first-team acknowledgement, the third of her career. Kayla Vaughan, Amanda Peterson, Kaylee Walker, Shelby Lawson and Haley Agena earned second-team honors. Bridget Johnson earned a spot on the honorable mention list.
Ebner led the Saints with a .412 batting average, ranking fifth in the GNAC. She totaled 49 hits, 43 RBIs, 22 runs, and 27 walks in the regular season. Defensively, Ebner’s 208 putouts rank seventh in the GNAC.
Lawson’s selection to the All-GNAC second team is the third all-conference nod of her career, as she hit .386 to rank eighth in the GNAC. She totaled 59 hits, 57 runs, 29 RBIs and 16 stolen bases in her senior season.
Agena finished the regular season with a .362 average and 55 total hits. She ranks fifth in the GNAC with 51 runs scored and fourth with three triples. Agena totaled 22 RBIs and 84 total bases, as well as nine steals off nine attempts.
Peterson’s All-GNAC recognition is the first of her career, and she earned the award after leading the GNAC in saves with five this season. She pitched 58 innings for the Saints, collecting a 3.62 earned run average and striking out 44 batters.
Vaughan led the Saints in wins this season with 13, while pitching a 2.80 ERA across 100 innings pitched in her first year at Saint Martin’s. She threw three complete games and two shutouts, while also picking up a save. Vaughan totaled 76 strikeouts this season.
Walker tallied 56 hits for the Saints this season and batted .364 while scoring 34 runs and driving in 40 RBIs. She started in all 50 games for Saint Martin’s this season.
Johnson tallied 12 wins in the circle for the Saints, accumulating a 3.26 ERA across 96.2 innings pitched. She struck out 40 batters and threw three complete games, including two shutouts.
Peterson led the charge for the program’s historic success this season, as Saint Martin’s won the GNAC regular season title for the third time in program history. The Saints are competing in the 2026 GNAC Softball Tournament as the top seed and will face No. 4 Simon Fraser in Ellensburg Thursday afternoon.
