For the first time in 2026, the South Puget Sound Community College men’s soccer team is in the win column.
The Clippers defeated Pierce College 4-2 in a road game Saturday afternoon, coming from behind to do so.
SPSCC, which had only scored three goals all season prior to Saturday, opened the scoring in the 25th minute as Taylor Masson assisted Kenta Yumoto. But Pierce’s Lael Mukania gave the Raiders a 2-1 lead with goals in the 27th and 42nd minutes.
Just before halftime, SPSCC’s Gona Markos knotted the score on an unassisted goal. The Clippers took the lead three minutes into the second half as Christopher Richardson found the back of the net for the first time this season.
Adrian Alonso gave SPSCC an insurance goal in the 86th minute to seal the victory. Goalkeeper Andrew Lang recorded five saves in 90 minutes.
Four goals is the most in a game for the program since Sept. 24, 2025, when the Clippers beat Centralia College 6-2.
SPSCC (1-6-2, 1-4-2 NWAC) will travel down south to face Clark College Wednesday, Sept. 30.
