SPSCC women’s soccer shut out by Highline

The South Puget Sound Community College women’s soccer team conceded one goal in each half in a 2-0 loss to Highline College Saturday afternoon at the Regional Athletic Complex.

Highline scored first in the 17th minute as Alysson Bertrand Gomez found the back of the net, and the Thunderbirds added another in the 82nd minute off a goal by Abby Salinas. Highline outshot SPSCC 15-2, with Alana Holroyd and Neveah Sandoval providing the lone shots for the Clippers.

Dariana Calix Villegas saved five shots for SPSCC in 90 minutes in the net.

SPSCC (3-2-3, 1-2-3 NWAC) will travel to Pierce College Wednesday, Sept. 23 before returning home Saturday, Sept. 26 to face Green River.
