The Washington state Department of Health (DOH) has taken action against four area health care providers, including one from Thurston County and three from Cowlitz County, according to a Nov. 13 news release from the agency.

Thurston County

In September, the DOH indefinitely suspended Sasha Veronica Brown’s registered nursing assistant credential, after the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) “determined Brown financially exploited a vulnerable adult” in May 2025, according to the release.

Brown was placed on the DSHS’s long-term care abuse and neglect registry, which prohibits her from working with or having unsupervised access to vulnerable adults.

To date, Brown has not responded to the DOH’s request for information.

Cowlitz County

In October, the DOH and Jorge A. Brito entered an agreed order indefinitely suspending Brito’s registered nursing assistant credential, after Brito reportedly “failed to safely assist with patient transfers, resulting in serious injuries,” according to the release.

The incidents reportedly occurred in March and May 2024.

Also in October, the DOH and Amanda Kay McCoy entered an agreed order indefinitely suspending McCoy’s certified nursing assistant credential, after McCoy “acknowledged the need for substance use disorder treatment” in February 2024, according to the release.

Finally, in October, the DOH suspended Lisa K. Robert’s registered nursing assistant credential, pending further disciplinary action, after the DSHS “determined Robert abused a vulnerable adult” in May 2025, according to the release.

Like Brown, Robert was placed on the DSHS’s long-term care abuse and neglect registry, which prohibits her from working with or having unsupervised access to vulnerable adults.
