Make it 14 wins in a row for the Tumwater High School boys basketball team, the latest a 61-59 triumph over the Class 3A Hornets on Monday night on the road. Tumwater has not experienced a loss in over a month.

The win was the second time in the Thunderbirds last four contests it came against a higher classification foe and was decided by a possession. They saw their 12-point first quarter lead dwindle to four at the half, only to see it get back to 11 entering the fourth.

Despite only scoring seven points in the final frame, Tumwater (15-1) hung on. Landon Anchors finished with a team-best 19 points while Julian Balsley added 12 and Luke Overbay chipped in 10 points and nine rebounds. Ethan Bello recorded six points, nine assists, three steals and three blocks.

The T-Birds get back to EvCo play on Tuesday versus Centralia before a massive showdown with Black Hills on Friday.
