Tumwater picked up its fourth straight victory on Tuesday, taking care of Centralia 12-2 in a five-run victory at home.
Tumwater didn’t score in either of the first two frames, instead scoring all 12 of its runs across the third, fourth, and fifth.
Lyle Overbay hit a three-run home run to lead the Tumwater offense, while Jimmy Womach added a pair of hits and three RBIs of his own.
In his lone at-bat, Damyn Hyatt-Crooker hit a two-run triple, and Charlie Crawford also notched an RBI in the win.
Adley Goebel pitched the first four innings, allowing just one hit and two unearned runs while walking two and striking out seven before making way for Baylor Olson in the fifth. Olson struck out two and didn’t allow a hit in the frame.
Centralia scored its two runs on a Tumwater error in the fourth. Gabe Salazar picked up the Tigers’ lone hit, while Jonah Lowe and Shawn Holmes drew walks to reach base.
Tumwater (12-4, 8-2 2A EvCo) and Centralia (2-14, 1-10 2A EvCo) will face off again on Wednesday at Fort Borst Park.
