Tenino was shut down by Seton Catholic on Friday, falling in a 1A District 4 Quarterfinal 49-11 in Vancouver.
The Beavers scored just two points in the first half and had just four going into the third, and they trailed 49-4 going into the fourth.
“Tough one tonight,” Tenino coach Kirsi Gofinch said. “They’re a great team, but I was really proud of how we defended in the post despite the size advantage. Definitely a learning opportunity, and we showed a lot of fight.”
Kylie Gonia scored nine points, and Kyla Watson added two.
The Beavers (7-16) will face King’s Way Christian in an elimination game on Wednesday in a location that is to be announced. The winner of that game will face either Columbia (White Salmon) or Montesano in a winner-to-state game in Centralia on Saturday, Feb. 21.
