Due to high temperatures on Monday, June 15, Thurston County Public Health and Social Services has issued a “Hazardous Weather” advisory to increase shelter-in-place efforts this week.
Olympia Mutual Aid Partners will be conducting outreach with emergency supplies to those without shelter.
Sergio’s Place Service Center will also be open on Monday, June 15 from 2 to 7 p.m.
The shelter’s regular hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
The shelter guest entrance for Sergio’s Place is located at 3501 Mary Elder Rd NE. Walk-up entrance off Martin Way. Pets are welcome. Please call 360-706-2287 for more information.
Interfaith Works will accept donations at Sergio’s Place from 2 to 7 p.m. on June 15, and during regularly scheduled hours of operation, at the shelter’s donation collection entrance.
Items needed include bottled water, sports drinks, sports drink mix, popsicles, non-perishable snacks, tarps, hats, summer clothing and sunscreen.
