The Thurston County Auditor’s Elections Division has announced it will conduct a random audit of the Aug. 4 primary election. The test demonstrates the accuracy of the tabulation equipment, according to a statement from the auditor’s office.
Audit observers are appointed by the county Democratic and Republican parties. If present, observers will be able to ask questions and learn more about the election process. The audit will be held at 9 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 6, at the Ballot Processing Center, 2905 29th Ave., SW Tumwater.
