The Timberline volleyball team has yet to see a fourth set to start this season, as the Blazers swept Silas 25-9, 25-13, 25-10, on the road Thursday night.
Timberline has not allowed more than 14 points in a set so far in 2026. The Blazers surrendered a total of 32 points to Silas.
“We are still really early in the season, but I like the progress we are making,” Timberline head coach Matt Monnastes said. “Next week will challenge us, and these first two matches have been important in getting us prepared for that. Silas was a big, physical team with a lot of size, so I was really happy with how we controlled the match from the beginning.”
Kinsley Smith led the Blazers offensively with 13 kills and three aces, while Leia Dela Cruz finished with 17 assists, 10 digs, three kills and three aces. Jovie Lind had a strong defensive night with 12 digs while contributing four aces and three assists. Miya Jackson totaled six kills, seven digs, an ace and a block.
The Blazers’ serving put pressure on the Rams and remained aggressive on offense throughout the match. The lopsided scores allowed coaches to insert a wide array of players.
Timberline (2-0, 2-0 Puget Sound League) will visit Prairie Tuesday night in a non-league match before returning home to face Central Kitsap Thursday night.
