The Timberline football team pounded Stadium 34-7 behind six forced turnovers by the Blazers’ defense Friday night at South Sound Stadium.

Timberline recorded three interceptions, three fumble recoveries and a safety. Nick Mix, Maurice Williams and King Spearman each picked off a pass, as Spearman’s interception was returned for a touchdown to end the game.

Kataferu Galoia, CJ Duenas and Wonderful Glenn each recovered a fumble.

“It was an up-and-down game. We did some good and some bad. In the end, we were able to win,” Timberline head coach James Jones said. “We had some players that really stepped up.”

Timberline (1-0) will host Bonney Lake on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 1 p.m.

More statistics will be added once they become available.
