Tumwater sweeps doubles matches in win over Timberline

The Tumwater boys tennis team picked up a non-league win on Monday, sweeping the doubles matches against Timberline en route to a 4-1 victory in Lacey.

The Tumwater duos of Malachi Vuong and River Herron, Dane Wyrick and Jude Rauscher, and Jack Gregor and Marcus Suderman won each of their doubles matches in straight sets, and Tumwater’s Harrison Chang also picked up a win in the second singles matchup.

Timberline’s Jaden Clark picked up a win in the top singles match in straight sets to earn Timberline’s lone victory of the day.

There was no matchup in the third singles slot.

Both teams will be on the road on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds will head to Shelton, while the Blazers will head to Tacoma to face Lincoln.

Third Doubles: Jace Gregor/Marcus Suderman (TUM) def. Dylan Her/Wesley Emge (TIMB) 6-1, 6-1.
