In a battle of Warriors, it was Rochester that scored four times in the opening 10 minutes to claim an 8-0 victory over Chief Leschi on Tuesday night at home in an Evergreen League matchup.
Aiden Villanueva recorded a hat trick for Rochester with goals in the fifth, eighth and 73rd minute. The junior has all four goals this season for the Warriors (1-2, 1-1 Evergreen) through three matches.
“Let’s go and get what we need to win the game,” Rochester head coach Matt Ashton said. “I’m hoping this gives us some momentum in the next few games. This has the potential to get us going (in the right direction).”
Eduardo Herrera also netted two goals in the opening half, part of a five-goal output in the first 40 minutes for Rochester. Eleazar Ramirez-Gutierrez, Anthony Garcia and Geovany Nolasco-Torres also found the back of the net.
The Warriors will stay home and battle Ilwaco on Thursday night in another league contest.
