The Black Hills boys basketball team topped W.F. West for the second time on Tuesday, topping the Bearcats 68-56 in Chehalis to complete the season sweep.
It was just a two-point game at the break, but a 21-point third helped the Wolves build a lead they would not relinquish.
Quinton Morrill led the way with 26 points, including 15 in the second half, while James Morgan scored 20 and Peyton Faught added 12. Talon Morrill finished with five, Kendall Roberson tallied four, and Hayden Burgess scored one.
With the win, Black Hills keeps pace with Tumwater at just one game back of first place.
Wyatt Hoffman led the Bearcats with 18, while Fox Rogerson tallied 11, Alex Stafford logged seven, and Hayden Rooney finished with six. Kobe Arevalo, Jesus Luque Coronel, and Luke McMillan all added three, and Blake Hampton and Race Rockey both added two.
W.F. West remains tied with Centralia for fourth in the EvCo, but it still holds the tiebreaker thanks to its head-to-head win earlier this season.
The Bearcats (5-12, 2-5 2A EvCo) will host Aberdeen on Thursday, while the Wolves (13-4, 6-1 2A EvCo) will host Tumwater on Friday.
