Evergreen senior Madeline Dorendorf nailed a pair of penalty kicks and senior goalkeeper Katie Gresham swatted a late penalty kick to secure a 2-2 draw with Walla Walla on Sunday, Oct. 18.

The Geoducks were tasked with rallying from a two-goal deficit in the first half, as the Wolves scored in the 15th minute and 26th minute, the second of which coming on a penalty kick. Dorendorf earned a penalty kick in the 34th minute to cut the margin to 2-1, the score at halftime.

Following a red card on the Wolves, Dorendorf notched a second trip to the penalty spot and tied the game with a successful shot in the 69th minute. Another foul in the box landed Walla Walla a penalty kick with 13 minutes left, and Gresham saved the attempt by Kaitlyn Miclette.

Evergreen poured in a season-high 23 shots, five of which were on target. Gresham tallied six saves in her 75 minutes in net, as she replaced starter Melina Grijalva, who earned one save in 15 minutes.

Evergreen (0-8-3, 0-7-2 Cascade Collegiate Conference) will host Northwest on Saturday, Oct. 24 for its senior day.
