The Olympia girls soccer team finished its non-league schedule with back-to-back mercy-rule wins on the road.
First, the Bears pounded Tumwater 8-0 in 60 minutes Tuesday night, and they followed it up with another 8-0 win, this time in about 77 minutes at Timberline Thursday night.
Juniors Mika Meconi and Gracie McCaughan each scored two goals, while Parker Udo, Celeste Wilhelm, Aspen Mayes, and Hazel Emmans also found the back of the net.
Hannah Kim dished two assists, and Makenzie Bendiksen, Wilhelm and Vivienne Roach each had one.
Olympia scored four goals in each half.
“Super proud of them. We’ve had goals from lots of players so far,” Olympia head coach Tamara Liska said. “We’re really working together and growing together.”
Olympia (4-0-1) has scored 24 goals through its first five games and will look to keep that trend going in its South Puget Sound League opener Tuesday, Sept. 22 at Graham-Kapowsin (1-4). The Eagles allowed 19 goals through their first four games before a 1-0 shutout against Rogers (Puyallup) Thursday night.
Timberline (1-4) will host Mount Tahoma Tuesday, Sept. 22 in its Puget Sound League opener.
