On a night when the Olympia volleyball team celebrated its three seniors, the Bears got back in the win column with a sweep (25-20, 25-17, 25-16) of Rogers on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
Olympia honored seniors Netty Obungu, Ella Baek and Addie Aiona.
Against the Rams, the Bears were led by shining performances from both setters; junior Anna Johnston tallied a double-double of 17 assists and 10 digs, while sophomore McKenzie Madill added 19 assists and four aces. Junior Stella Sheeran also logged a double-double with 15 kills and 14 digs.
Sophie Deiss was dynamic from the service line with six aces to go along with three kills, and Obungu posted five kills and three blocks in her final home regular season match.
“Proud of the Bears tonight. Emotions always run high on senior night, but we kept our composure and finished strong,” Olympia head coach Christie Oldright said. “We had a great night celebrating three incredible people.”
