The River Ridge girls soccer team was held out of the net in a 3-0 loss at Peninsula on Thursday, Oct. 15.
Peninsula held a 1-0 advantage before scooting a pair of goals into the net midway through the second half.
“We didn’t perform well as a team. We need to dictate the nature of the game, and we didn’t do that,” River Ridge head coach Duwan Tyson said. “We made three mistakes, and it cost us three goals. That’s the nature of this sport.”
River Ridge has a 1-3-2 record in its past six contests and enters the final week of three games of the regular season in fourth place in the Puget Sound League Nisqually Division at 2-4-2. The Hawks will face Capital (7-6, 4-4 Puget Sound League) at home on Tuesday, Oct. 20.
