The River Ridge volleyball team couldn’t keep up with a red-hot Lakes team in a 3-0 (25-13, 25-11, 25-13) loss.

Lakes has won 10 in a row since starting 0-2, and River Ridge has lost 12 in a row since its 2-1 start.

The Hawks were led by Kristina Stupina’s 11 assists, seven digs and one ace, while Ny’zriae Collins-Howard provided six kills, four digs, three blocks and one ace. Sofia Lie tallied 11 digs and two assists, and Aspen Lamar and Sophia Quinn each recorded two kills.

“Appreciated our ‘game-changers’ coming in off the bench. Not an easy role to have. Many of our ‘game-changers’ brought great energy and hustle plays,” River Ridge head coach Arianna Jacobson said. “It was fun to watch Ny get some big blocks as well.”

River Ridge (2-13, 1-7 Puget Sound League) will travel to Peninsula (4-8, 3-4 PSL) on Tuesday, Oct. 27.
