The Tumwater softball team picked up a dominant victory on Monday, cruising to a 20-2 win over Steilacoom in five innings.
The T-Birds scored 11 runs in the first to break the game open immediately, and they added four more in the second and five in the fourth to hit 20.
Sarah Stevens struck out seven without allowing a hit in three scoreless innings in the circle, and she also collected two hits and drove in five runs at the plate.
Cassandra McCartney went 3 for 4 and drove in five runs of her own, and Brielle Womach hit a triple and a double while driving in three runs and scoring four more.
Megan Barrett also scored four runs, and she went 2 for 2 with two RBIs of her own at the dish.
Kiera Rich pitched the final two innings of the contest, allowing three hits and two earned runs while walking one and striking out three.
Tumwater (2-0) will head to Adna on Tuesday.
