Despite scoring first within the first 25 minutes on Thursday night, the Warriors couldn’t maintain the momentum and dropped a 3-1 decision to the Chinooks in a Class 1A District 4 quarterfinal in Kalama.

Gianna Zimmerman put Rochester (8-7-2) on the board in the 22nd minute, but that was the only time it led all night. Kalama found the equalizer in the 33rd minute and then early in the second half, Sienna DiCristina gave the Chinooks the lead for good in the 47th minute.

The Warriors finished the night with eight total shots and 11 fouls. They’ll look to keep their season alive on Tuesday with a home district game versus La Center, with the winner being one win away from the state tournament.
